Description/Use
Density gradient medium.
SpermFilter is a silane-silica based density gradient medium used in A.R.T. for the separation and purification of highly motile human spermatozoa.
Do not use:
- if there is any damage to the package or its contents
- after the expiration date mentioned on the label.

Endotoxin: <0.1 ng/ml (<1 EU/ml)
Composition
SpermFilter is composed of silica particles covalently coated with silane and resuspended in isotonic phosphate and Hepes buffered saline.
Shelf-life
Two years from date of manufacture kept refrigerated between +4°C to +8°C. Opened bottles should be stored refrigerated.
Quality assurance
The medium is manufactured under sterile conditions and sterility is ensured through testing each batch. The sterility test verifies the absence of viable micro-organisms (bacteria, yeast and fungi).
The medium is supplied sterile-filtered in pharmaceutical grade borosilicate glass bottles with teflon-coated rubber stoppers and tamper proof seals.
"SpermFilter and PureSperm have been tested in a comparative study of 898 A.R.T. cycles (245 IUI-H, 58 IUI-D and 595 IVF/ICSI cycles). There was no significant difference."
